I’m Alyssa Hannam, a UX designer based in Madison, WI. I’m currently pursuing an MS in Information Science with an emphasis in UX/UI Design at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, with an expected graduation in May 2026.

I’m a UX/UI Design Intern at West Bend Insurance, where I design and improve enterprise tools used by underwriting and agent teams. My work includes user research, workflow redesign, and translating insights into high-fidelity Figma designs, with a focus on reducing friction in complex, data-heavy systems.

On campus, I serve as the Event Chair for UW’s UX Club, where I’m excited to continue bringing speakers, workshops, and resources to students interested in UX and product design.

Before returning to school, I worked in nonprofit and HVAC roles focused on web design, content, and brand strategy. I also hold a BA in English and Theatre from UW–Green Bay, which informs how I approach storytelling, clarity, and user-centered design.

Outside of work and school, I’m involved in community theatre, write poetry, and enjoy hiking whenever I can.
